Wisdom Horse Apprenticeship

Now taking registrations for a 13-month, state-of-the-art, custom designed apprenticeship program for equine guided practitioners to be held in Ballarat, Australia starting March, 2015.

Lynn Baskfield is bringing her highly successful Wisdom Horse Apprenticeship program to Australia! This program is for people who are committed to becoming professional, high quality equine-guided coaches and who want to learn from seasoned leaders in the field of Equine Guided Coaching .

If you live in Australia and want the finest coaching based training for your equine guided practice, this is your opportunity to be part of the first Wisdom Horse Apprenticeship Program - Australia. While there are several equine facilitated practitioners offering programs in Australia, no one else offers a similar, year-long, comprehensive coaching based program that offers everything this one does.

Areas of Development

This program develops you in the three skill areas we feel necessary to become a qualified Equine Guided Coach:

  • Builds on your horse skills
  • Builds on your human skills, i.e., coaching and facilitation and teaches a complete coaching curriculum
  • Teaches how to bridge the horse/human interaction

        Plus:

  •  This program teaches you how to define and develop your business, the critical element that brings your dream into the real world. 

What does the program include?

  • Thirteen months long
  • Three 5-day Intensives in Ballarat scheduled March, September, February (specific dates TBA)
  • Small class size, individual attention: minimum of 5, maximum of 10 apprentices per class
  • Coach training from U.S. professional experienced life and business coach trainer Paula Hemming
  • Individual talk coaching sessions in between Intensives for continuity
  • Solid, proven materials from professionals who have exstensive foundation in the Equine Guided coaching field
  • A clear structure of support for your learning though out the year.
  • A tried and true business development approach to quickly move you into your business

 

 

Skills and Qualities we would like you to come in with:

  • Strong horse skills. Additional outside training may be required for those without these skills.
  • Fundamental human skills such as coaching, teaching, counseling, facilitation. Although we provide coach training within this apprenticeship, additional outside training may be required or desired for those who come in without any of these skills.
  • Willingness to become self-aware and self-reflective
  • Spiritual sense of horses and openness to working with horse as a guide (not a tool)

Cost:

Apprenticeship Program $9,000 USD (When you register you may pay the entire fee up front or pay per phase ($3100 per phase).  When you register, you are committing to the entire Apprenticeship and responsible for the full fee. Lunch is included each day.  Lodging is extra.

Cancellations:

If you cancel:  You may cancel up the 60 days prior to the first day of the apprenticeship.  For cancellations after 60 days prior to the start date, you will be refunded your payment ONLY if we can fill your slot.  $200 fee for any cancellation.

If we cancel:  We need at least 5 people registered and paid in order to hold the program.  If we cancel due to lack of registrations or other extenuating circumstances, we will refund your entire payment.

  • Lynn Baskfield and Emily McVeigh bring a solid foundation of experience, vision and leadership in the Equine Guided Education field. 
  • We provide over 150 hours of individual and group time with you.
  • We teach you a solid framework of equine-guided coaching skills, support and accountability for your growth as an equine guided practitioner.
  • Your apprenticeship is a living, co-designed process. At the beginning of each phase, we will review the phase plan with you and co-design any changes.

Who We Are:

Lynn Baskfield has been doing equine guided coaching for over 10 years and is recognized worldwide in the field of Equine Guided Education. She has taught the Wisdom Horse Equine Guided Apprenticeship Program in the United States since 2004 (with Ann Romberg) and she is committed to bringing the finest training to those who wish to bring the heart of the horse to the well-being of the human. 

Emily McVeigh is a pioneer in the equine experiential learning in Australia. She is founder of Equine Learning Experience Australia in Ballarat, a long-time horsewoman and a certified life and career coach. 

Paula Hemming is an experienced coach, coach trainer, and founder of the Adler Graduate School Professional Coaching Program.
